Service Description

Attend a Pet First Aid Course with Remarkable Dog Training and you will learn the skills and gain the knowledge to help your pet in an emergency. Knowing pet first aid can help keep your pet and animals in your care alive and alleviate pain & suffering. Working with veterinarians an easy to follow, full colour manual was written that everyone can appreciate. It covers over 20 different situations and is hands on for all attendees. You will get the opportunity to learn CPR and Rescue Breathing on specially imported mannequins from the USA and also practice your bandaging skills on live animals. Learn to recognise everyday poisons that are around our home, how to recognise the symptoms and how to help stabilise your animal until you can get professional help. This course will empower you and give you confidence in an emergency situation. Our Pet First Aid Course is ideal for the passionate animal lover, those wanting to step into the animal industry, up skill within the industry and is ideal as a team/group exercise. Topics covered include rescue breathing, CPR, shock, hypothermia, poisoning, broken bones, and so much more! Each successful participant with receive a certificate, which is valid for two years Our Pet First Aid Course is a one day course run over 6 hours. Our PET First Aid Course is accredited for NZVNA Continued Professional Development for registered vet nurses. Attend our pet first course, brush up on your emergency and first aid skills while gaining CPD points towards your registration. CPD Points : 5 Duration : 6hrs We have teamed up with our friends at Animal Evac New Zealand. If you are a registered volunteer with Animal Evac you can attend our course at discounted rate ( $159 ) - please get in touch with us directly to take advantage of this offer. This offer benefits in upskilling Animal Evacs volunteers and also helps put money back into Animal Evac The PET First Aid Course can now be completed as part of the Bronze Skill Section of the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Awards. Check with your school if they are part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award or contact us for more information.


Cancellation Policy

Life happens, so if things get difficult and you need to reschedule, a minimum of 24hrs notice to retain the use of fee. No refunds for not turning up to your booked appointment. Some group classes have waitlists, so if 24hrs before the start of a string of group classes please let us know and you can join the next round. Group classes are non refundable, if is up to you to make time to complete your classes.
